JEE Main 2025: How to Challenge Provisional Answer Keys

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the Provisional Answer Keys for JEE Main 2025 Session 1 (January) along with the Recorded Responses and Question Papers. If you believe there are discrepancies in the answer key, you can now challenge it online by following a structured procedure.

Examination Session: JEE Main 2025 (Session 1)

Challenge Period: From 4th February 2025 to 6th February 2025 (11:50 PM)

Paper: Paper 1 (B.E./B. Tech)

Processing Fee: ₹200 per question (non-refundable)

Why Challenge the Answer Key?

Challenging the provisional answer key allows you to ensure that your responses are evaluated fairly. If a correction is made based on your valid challenge, it will impact the final answer key and potentially boost your score.

Steps to Challenge the Answer Key:

1. Visit the official NTA website: https://jeemain.nta.nic.in.

2. Click on the link: “Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key”.

3. Log in using your Application Number and Password, and enter the captcha code.

4. Select Challenge(s) regarding Answer Key.

5. You’ll see a list of Question IDs for Paper 1 (Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry).

6. Identify the questions you wish to challenge.

7. Click the checkbox in the appropriate columns to select your challenge.

8. Upload supporting documents (if any) in a single PDF file.

9. Click Save Your Claim and proceed.

10. Review your selections and click on “Save your claim and Pay Fee Finally”.

11. Pay ₹200 per question via Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.

Important Notes:

Challenges submitted without the processing fee will not be considered.

Ensure you double-check your challenges before submitting.

The decision made by experts after reviewing your challenge will be final.

No individual candidate will be informed of the status of their challenge personally.
