NEET (UG) 2025: Important Update on Question Paper Pattern and Exam Duration

The National Testing Agency (NTA), which has been conducting NEET (UG) since 2019 on behalf of the National Medical Commission, has released an important update regarding the NEET (UG)-2025 examination. Here’s what aspiring candidates need to know:

Revised Question Paper Pattern

For NEET (UG)-2025, the question paper pattern will revert to its pre-COVID format. Key highlights include:

1. No Section B: The optional questions introduced during the COVID-19 period will no longer be available.

2. Total Questions: The paper will consist of 180 compulsory questions, distributed as follows:

Physics: 45 questions

Chemistry: 45 questions

Biology: 90 questions

Examination Duration

The total duration of the exam will be 180 minutes (3 hours), returning to the standard pre-COVID timeline.

The extra time previously granted during COVID-19 has been removed.
